The Old Northside Neighborhood takes full advantage of modern technology when it comes to neighborhood communication. Using a free and easy service offered by Yahoo!. Neighbors communicate using an e-mail list with more than 200 members! Routine items like meeting reminders and weekly IPD reports are delivered via the e-mail list. Sometimes lively discussions are conducted on relevant neighbohood topics.

How to send a message:
Sending an e-mail to ONSNeighborhood@yahoogroups.com, will deliver a copy of your e-mail to all of subscribers on the list.

Note: To eliminate SPAM, only people subscribed to the list can post messages. Also, Yahoo offers this service for free. The way Yahoo! makes their money is by tacking on low key advertising to the end of each valid e-mail posted to the e-mail list.

How to subscribe to the list:

• Simple e-mail subscription: To become a subscriber, and receive an e-mail every time an e-mail is sent to the list, or to be allowed to post e-mails to the list;
  
  1. Enter your e-mail address and click on the button.

  2. Sign on to your e-mail account.
  3. Find the confirmation e-mail from Yahoo! Groups, click on reply and then send.

  Note: You will have the default delivery option, in that for every e-mail sent to the list, you will receive a copy of that e-mail.

• Full feature subscription: To have full control over all of the e-mail list subscription options, you must use the web to create a Yahoo! account.
  
  1. Click on: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ONSneighborhood/.
  2. At the top of the web page, click on the "Sign Up" option.
  3. Follow all of the instructions to create a Yahoo! account.

How to un-subscribe from the list:

1. Sign on to your e-mail account.
2. Send an blank e-mail to ONSneighborhood-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.
3. You will receive an e-mail from "Yahoo! Groups" confirming your subscription, click on reply and then send.
